Hello students! It’s Miss Stephanie. Can you remember what our new school theme is for January and February? That’s right, our new theme is movies!
Do you like watching movies? I do. I love movies. I try to go to the cinema as often as I can to watch a new movie.
The cinema is such a great place. I live in Causeway Bay and there is a nice cinema near my apartment. It only takes me five minutes to walk there. It is called the President Cinema.
I love buying snacks at the cinema. Do you like popcorn? I love it! I like both flavours, salty and sweet. Which do you like best?
I love going to the cinema, but there are some things about it that can make me feel angry. Sometimes people in the cinema don’t follow the rules.
Do you know the rules in the cinema?
When you are watching a movie in the cinema, you should turn off your smartphone – but I hear people in Hong Kong answering their phone in the middle of a movie! They talk in loud voices. It’s so rude! Please remember to turn your phone off.
It’s also rude to play with your phone while you are watching a movie at the cinema. Have you seen people do this? The light from your phone can be very distracting for other people. Please think about these things next time you go to the cinema and be a nice and respectful person.
