The new school theme is about living a healthy life. Does anybody know how we can do that?
The answer is very simple! By exercising and eating a healthy diet. Of course!
Mr. Jacky is a very active person. I will go out to exercise at least twice a week. I love to do all kinds of sports and exercises. I like to play basketball, badminton, hiking, swimming and many others as well. If it is an active activity, I would love to do it!
Many of you may know that basketball is my favourite sport, but did you know that many of the other teachers also like to play? We have a teacher’s basketball team and we exercise together. I enjoy playing with them very much. Sometimes, Mr. Eliot and I will also go out to play basketball together as well.
Other than basketball, a new sport that I started learning to play is squash. Do you guys know what squash is? It’s a racket sport like tennis, but it’s indoors and you hit against a wall. It is very intense and requires a lot of running. Every time I finish playing, I will feel super tired and exhausted.
But to be healthy, you cannot only do exercises. You will need to eat healthy as well. That means eating lots of vegetables and fruit and small portions of meat. You also cannot eat too much sugar or fatty food. That means no candy, ice-cream, soft drinks or McDonalds. It may be difficult for some children, but if try to do this, you will feel more energetic!
