I Love Hong Kong

Hi everyone!

Our final theme for this school year is ‘Hong Kong is our home’. For the next two months we will learn some interesting things about Hong Kong, and find out how we feel about our home.

I am from England, not Hong Kong like you. That means Hong Kong is not really my home because I was not born here.

You can see how far I travelled to get here. It's a long way!

But, I feel like Hong Kong is my home now because I have lived here for more than four years. All of my friends and favourite places are here. I live here. I don’t go back to visit England very often.

I would like to spend the rest of my life here because I love Hong Kong. Here are some reasons why:

  • Hong Kong is an exciting city to live in. You can do anything you want here. You can get a good job and save up money.

  • From Hong Kong it is easy to travel to other countries in Asia like Thailand and my favourite place, Vietnam.

  • I love Hong Kong food but it’s easy to get Western food too.

  • I have many friends who live here (like Miss Charlotte, Mr. Eliot and Mr. Jacky!)

You can see some of us on the MTR here! I have Western friends and local Chinese friends too.

  • I feel happy when I am in Hong Kong. It’s a beautiful, busy, noisy city.

Hong Kong can be so beautiful. Look at this sunset!

Hopefully soon I can become a PR (permanent resident) of Hong Kong. I would like that very much. I already have an HKID card.

What do you like about your home? Do you like it? Let me know why!

Love Miss Stephanie
